On Saturday, March 21, my family went on Spring break vacation. Our first stop was at our cousin’s house In Puyallup,Washington. On the way there it was very rainy and the weather was changing from rain to sun so we decided to stop at the tulip fields in La Conner, Washington. At the tulip fields we were able to see many tulips of different colours like pink, purple, orange, red and yellow. When we arrived at our cousin’s house, it was around 6. Inside our family ate a delicious supper that our aunt made and then we played on the xbox playing basketball. For a bit of time we played a new game our cousins received for Christmas that was called Pop Shot. All you had to do was throw the mini basketballs in a hoop for 30 seconds, face someone else and you would see who gets the most points. Finally after a while we went to bed at 9:30. In the morning,we ate breakfast and played more extreme fun basketball on the xbox. We also played basketball outside; we broke up into teams, my brother and I vs our cousins. At the end my brother and I won. After the game,we went to church. It was a great service and I enjoyed it. In the afternoon, we ate some lunch and went to the YMCA gym in their city. When we got there, we shot some hoops. We then ate supper and played some Pop Shot. At 8:30 we went to bed and talked for a bit. In the morning, our cousins had to go to school because their spring break is later in April.
We left on Monday morning to go to Oregon to our family friend’s house. It was in the Columbia River Gorge in a town named Corbett. It was a 3 hour boring drive but finally we made it there at noon. The name of the family is the Rogers; Stacey and Vance and their kids are Addi,Kenna and Emily. At the house, we ate some scrumptious lunch. In the afternoon,we went on a hike to a monolith called Beacon Rock. It was a mile up and had 57 zigzags all the way up. At the top,we did a selfie and went back down because it started raining. I got a couple pictures on the way up because it was beautiful. At the bottom, we then drove for a bit and went to a ice cream shop that was famous for ice cream. Their soft serve ice cream was 10 inches tall! It was super tall and yummy! Back at the house, Emily and Noah played me in a game called bumper pool. We ate supper and watched the first Jurassic Park movie then we went to bed. In the morning, we ate some delicious breakfast. Next my brother and I played with Addi for a while and then we went laser tagging. The laser tag place was different but was really fun. My team was the blue team and we came second place; I got the most points for my team. That afternoon, we ate lunch and I played bumper pool with my dad. Lastly we watched the next 2 Jurassic Park movies. After a fun and tiring day, we all went to bed. In the morning I made Pancakes with Vance and flipped them. That was the morning we left to go to the coast.
Our next stop was Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. Thank God for Jonathan Park cds that make our long drives less boring. When we arrived in the late afternoon, we went whale watching on the shore with binoculars. After that we went to our hotel that was on the beach. Our hotel was very nice and luxurious. Next we went to the beach and played then went to our pool in our hotel and swam around. In the morning, we went to the beach and went swimming again. We left the hotel in the late morning and drove up the coast. We stopped at several places; one was called Cannon beach and had huge monoliths. Next we went to a place called Seaside and ate ice cream. We then drove back to Washington and spent the night at our cousin’s house in Puyallup. In the morning, we left to come home. It was the best vacation ever!

It’s a place where you can go on a ride and see the wonderful places in Canada. We went over the rockies, Banff national park and many other wonderful places. At the end of our awesome adventure, we went to Stanley park. We went all around the park, saw the hollow tree and went on the beach. On the way home, we stopped at Ikea. I had meatballs and fries; it was very scrumptious and yummy. It was an awesome day!

On Friday,February 20 I went swimming with my awesome best friend Caden and my brother Noah. When Caden, Noah and I arrived at the Cheam centre, the first thing we did was change and go into the pool ready for a witty, merrymaking time. When we started, we played a stupendous, fun game we all liked called keep away. The teams were Caden and I vs Noah. The object of the game was to keep the ball away from Noah and if Noah got the ball he would keep it away from Caden and I. Caden and I kept the ball away for three fourths of the time so we basically won. After the enjoying game of keep away, we played Volleyball with the same teams. The game was neck and neck at first but then Caden and I got sloppy. In the end, the score was 20-14 for Noah. After the enjoying activity of Volleyball, we jumped off the diving board and we played a game we had no name for but it was very entertaining. All you had to do was throw the ball to the person on the diving board while their jumping and they tried to catch the ball. Lastly we played tag in the lazy river, I was it at first but then I tagged Caden. The water was running very swiftly and that’s what made it a more enjoyable game. Caden,Noah and I had significant games in mind to play. After an hour and a half of endless fun, we were getting bored so we went home and played at my house. When we arrived at my house, my mom baked us some scrumptious, yummy taco salad which I devoured because it was so good. After lunch, Caden and I played for two more hours of fantastic fun. It was a magnificent day!
On Friday January 30, My friend Caden and his mom invited me to go to the Archaeology Museum in the University of British Columbia (The University of British Columbia is in Vancouver). When they picked me up on that beautiful morning, we were on our way. It was a long dull drive but I brought stuff to do so I was a little bit entertained. At the Museum, when we got inside it looked very neat and elegant. We started we looked at the totem poles;they had a different cool design. At each totem pole, we stopped to read about them so we could know more knowledge about each pole. At one sculpture, it was a bear with a fish in it’s mouth. I thought is must be very challenging to make those totem poles and different sculptures like the birds and bears. Next Caden and I drew something in the museum but nothing interested me to draw so I just drew a bird and the background. After that, we read about the First Nations. Eventually we went outside and visited the First Nations houses and some more totem poles. Finally we went to this tiny part of the museum where there were masks and different breathtaking sculptures. At the end, we ate at a restaurant called the Pantry. After the delicious, scrumptious meal Caden and his mom dropped me off at home. It was a extraordinary day!
My fun day at UBC!
On the December 25th 2014 it was finally Christmas! It was a wonderful time, first thing early in the morning my brother and I got up and jumped on my mom and dads bed being really antsy and wild. When everybody was up for the day we opened our Christmas stockings. Our stockings are really huge with loads of presents. The first one to open their present was my dog Rio. I gave him a big bone to chew on. I could tell he liked it because if I got close to him he would growl and run away to enjoy his bone. Some awesome presents that I got were a puppy calendar, the puppy’s on the calendar were so cute!! Next I got an Olaf the snowman from the movie Frozen t-shirt, it was so cool and was my favourite present from my stocking. Finally a couple extra gifts were tic tacks and some of my favourite delicious candy.
Then after all that fun we ate our traditional Christmas food for breakfast that is an egg casserole and something we name “The Land Of Nod” which is my favourite food ever. I ate so many pieces because I kept devouring all of it. After our yummy, belly filling breakfast we opened our presents under the tree. The presents that I gave to my brother were some cool basketball socks and the present that I gave to my mom were some earnings and two pairs of fuzzy warm socks. Lastly I gave my dad a Starbucks coffee cup. The present that I received from my brother was a game called bean bag toss. My mom and dad got me a game called Ooga Booga and a game called Jenga. Also my Nana and Grandpa gave us a collectable box. The best present of all was a “Lord Of The Rings” Wii game!!! We spent all day playing with our wonderful, awesome presents. It was a extraordinary Christmas!

On Sunday, my family and I went to the Lights of Christmas after our piano recital. It was in Washington State. It was about a two hour drive there but we made some stops along the way. The Lights of Christmas hours were from 5 to 10 o’clock at night. We arrived there at 5:00 exactly and it was really crowded. When we got in, there were millions of lights; I was mind blown I couldn’t believe my eyes! The very first thing we did was go see Santa. We took our picture with him and all received a candy cane. Once we were done that we tried to make a ornament but it was hard and we accidentally broke it but nobody cared. Then we went through a light tunnel that looked like a candy cane. Next, my brother and I went through a really fun light maze but my brother won! We also listened to some relaxing music for a while. When that was over, we went to the train but it was a long line up but all of us insisted on waiting in line. Finally when it was our turn, we went on the caboose and rode. It was a bumpy but fun ride. After the train ride, we walked around some more admiring the beautiful lights. Next we bought really delicious mini-donuts and went and listened to more music. During the music, I was munching down the donuts one by one enjoying them. At the end of our night, we stayed at a Best Western Plus. In the morning,we watched tv and then ate buffet full breakfast. After breakfast, we worked out and swam at the pool. Then it was time to go home. On the way home, we went to one of our favourite stores called Cabela’s and looked at some stuff and ate some fish and chips there. The fish and chips were awesome. It was the best light scenery ever and one of the great mini holiday!!

My other cousins from Saskatoon came on Tuesday. Their names are Nikita and Zane; they are 4 and 7 months old. My cousins from Seattle came Wednesday night and slept at my house. Before we went to bed, we decided we would go at 7:30 the next morning to the gym and play basketball. In the morning, we got dressed in awesome basketball clothes and went to the gym with Uncle Garth and Uncle Cam. We all played a game; it was my uncles and I vs my two cousins and my brother. My team won every time. Our last game, I scored the winning bucket. We then went home and my Mom baked us a delicious french toast casserole. Everybody enjoyed it. After breakfast,we watched a movie called “What about Bob?”; it was really funny! We also played a game called base then hide and seek. That afternoon, our cousins from Saskatoon came over for dinner. Everybody ate Thanksgiving dinner; it was so DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Following dinner, my cousins and I played in my room and had a dance party on the deck. When everybody left, we went to bed and had another sleepover with cousins from Seattle. It was a awesome day!! The next day we played some more then went to my brother’s basketball game. It was a exciting game. After the game, my cousins from Seattle left. My cousins from Saskatoon stayed until the next Wednesday and we had even more fun times with them. It was one of the best Thanksgiving ever!!!!!!!!!!

This past Tuesday was my awesome birthday! My birthday started out by getting presents after breakfast. My brother gave me baseball cards, a Dairy Queen gift card, and a Calvin and Hobbes book. My Mom and Dad gave me their presents. They gave me Seattle Seahawks duck tape, a new baseball bat,a book and a Sticky’s candy gift card. I really enjoyed my cool presents.
I did some school work after that but did my favourite subject–math! Then my brother and I played basketball while waiting for my friends to come for my party. My friend Caden was the first one to arrive; he played basketball with my brother and I. When my other friend Jared came, we went inside to play! We played a nerf gun game; it was pretty fun. We went outside to play more basketball but this time we played in teams. It was Noah and Caden Vs Jared and I; Jared and I won.
After that fun game, we went inside again and ate some lunch. We had pizza and chips plus juice for a drink. After lunch, we had birthday baseball cupcakes. I was a hog and ate 4 cupcakes; everybody else ate 2. When desert was over, we went into are car and drove to the rock climbing place in Abbotsford. The place was called Project Climb. When new got there, we went inside. The place looked huge with tons of rock climbing walls! We got our harnesses on and went rock climbing! There was rock climbing walls where you didn’t need a belayer to belay you up; my Dad was our belayer. When we got started, I got to go first since I was the birthday boy. I climbed one of the easiest walls to warm me up. While everybody else was going I went on the non belayer wall, made it to the top and sat there for a minute or two. Then I jumped down, there was big matts you would land on if you jumped off. After my friends and I tried the hardest wall; the wall went upside down and it was awesome. I was the first one to go but I only made it half way, everybody else made it half way too because it was so hard. Caden’s grandmother picked him up at the rock climbing place but Jared was coming with us to meet his mom. So I said good bye to Caden and we went on our way home. We then dropped Jared off to his mom. Shortly after that, we arrived home. We had pizza and cupcakes again. After supper, my family and I watched the movie called Mr. Peabody and Sherman. It was a great movie. My day was coming to an end and I had an extraordinary birthday!

What a fun birthday!
On Friday, I went to Fort Langley. My friend Caden and his Mom came with my family. When we got there, we went to the entrance. At the entrance, there was a gift shop that was pretty cool. My Mom paid for us and we went out of the entrance and went into the Fort. When we went into the Fort, there was huge wooden wall all around it and there were lots of houses and other things. We began our tour at the Cooperage where they made barrels. Inside the Cooperage, there was a man who told us about what the barrels were made for. The barrels were made for putting fish, cranberries and other supplies to trade with other people. It was very interesting the way they made the barrels and what they did with them. At the other side of the Cooperage, there were little wood pieces and circle wood/metal. Caden,my brother and I tried to build something out of it but we could’t.
We went to different buildings and most of them had history signs in them so we read them to learn more. We found out Fort Langley was founded by the Hudson Bay Company and was one of the first trading forts. It traded with First Nations, other forts, miners etc. In one house, we saw all the different kinds of furs from different animals that they traded. I found out British Columbia became a province at Fort Langley. In the Big house, Caden and I saw a checker board so we played checkers. After that we saw a gold panning place where you could find little golden nuggets. Caden was the only one who found one; my brother and I didn’t find anything. Next,we went to a Black Smith shop and there was a man showing how blacksmiths worked. We asked him questions and one of the questions asked was why were they called Black Smiths. He replied that they were called that because they work with black stuff like coal. While we were asking questions, he was making a little screw driver out of metal; it was cool. When we were done our tour, Caden, my brother and I played tag outside. It was really fun. We finished with delicious lunch at a picnic bench. It was a really fun day!

On Friday, my friend Caden came over for Halloween. Before we went trick or treating, we ate homemade pizza; it was delicious! My dog Rio was dressed as a pumpkin; he looked really cute. My brother was too old to go trick or treating so he handed out mini Cheetos bags. Caden and I were Minions from Despicable Me. Caden and I went trick or treating and we got loads of candy (I got lots of M&M’s). When we went to one house, they left a bowl out for us to take candy. One old man asked if we were skiers; we said “No we are Minions” and he said oh you are penguins. We thought that was really funny. When we arrived home, Caden and I looked at what candy we got. I had many different kinds. I ate 10 Aeros and 2 Coffee crisps! After Caden left, My family went to my Nana’s house. My Nana gave me and my brother 1 candy apple each it was awesome. This Halloween was one of the best ever!
